he origins of Leica Geosystems go back almost 200 years, with the creation of Kern & Co. in 1819. Almost a hundred years later, in a small, empty textile mill in Heerbrugg, Heinrich Wild was involved in the development of the T2, the first theodolite optical-mechanical of the truly mobile world, and at the same time, it laid the foundations of a company dedicated to modern surveying. Years later, the young and fledgling company, WIld-Heerbrugg, introduced the world's first aerial camera, the C2, along with the B2, the first photogrammetric tracer. Over the past two centuries, our company, in its various forms, has grown to be the world's leading innovator in surveying. A thirst for innovation, combined with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a constant dedication to quality, has kept Heinrich Wild's vision alive over the decades.
