Situation: In areas with a Mediterranean climate, outdoors, in full sun all year round. In colder areas, winter protection is advisable. It must be protected from frost.


Irrigation: abundantly in summer and moderately in winter.


Curiosities: The podocarpus is a conifer from tropical and subtropical regions of the planet. It is also known by the Buddhist name of pine. In female podocarpus, the coloring of the fleshy receptacle that holds the fruits is spectacular, due to its colorations ranging from red to purple.
